Chivalry lives!
Thank you so much to the kind gentleman who helped me fix my flat tire yesterday evening! It was cold. It was dark. And I'd hit a large rock going under the RR tracks on Bowers southbound. I quickly heard that disheartening pssssshhhhh, and walked it up to the first streetlight. I'd taken everything off the bike, turned it over, and was starting to assess the situation when he walked up, not even biked up, and offered help.
