National Bike-To-Work Week kicks off on Monday, May 9. On Thursday, May 12, we challenge CEOs and elected officials to join in the CEO/Celebrity Cycle-to-Work Day Challenge. 2011 marks the sixth year that the Silicon Valley Leadership Group has promoted participation in this event--which requires only three things:
- Have your executive personally cycle to work on Bike to Work Day, May 12.
- Encourage at least your Bay Area, if not worldwide, employees to do likewise.
- Host a “Celebration Station” at your work site for those who participate.
Our CEO/Celebrity Cycle-to-Work Day Challenge is easy and fun, and it is also a key component of the Leadership Group's “Clean and Green” Renewable Energy Action Plan, as well as our combined efforts for traffic relief, improved air quality and healthier employees. It is a triple-win, and we hope you will join the growing list of participants this year.
