Join SVBC at our annual Bike to Work Day bag stuffing party as we prepare the thousands of bags that will be distributed at 70+ Energizer Stations throughout Santa Clara County. If you’ve attended in the past you know that stuffing a BTWD musette bag can be as fun and rewarding as receiving one at an Energizer Station.
Bike to Work Day finally materialized! After months of hard work to get the event organized, our four staff members ventured forth on independent Energizer Station adventures.
As always, Palo Alto participated wholeheartedly.

The iBikeChallenge is a free iPhone application that lets you use your iPhone’s GPS to record bike trips for the Team Bike Challenge. Recording a trip is as simple as tapping START, riding your bike and tapping SAVE. iBikeChallenge saves maps of all your rides so you can keep track of everywhere you’ve biked. It also lets you check your points for the Team Bike Challenge anywhere at anytime so you can stay ahead of the competition.
If you're reading this, you know that Bike to Work Day is coming May 13th. But do your friends, family, and coworkers know? Spread the word with the Bike to Work Day 2010 poster. This handsome announcement comes in English, Spanish, or Mandarin. We have the English version available in a 11" x 17" size, and the Spanish and Mandarin versions available in 8 1/2" x 11".
The Employer Toolkit Stuffing Party held at Palo Alto Bicycles on Tuesday, March 30 was a complete success! During 2½ hours of fun, 12 amazing volunteers helped stuff close to 800 envelopes with Bike to Work Day (BTWD) information that will be sent out to as many Silicon Valley companies.
Preparations for Bike to Work Day involve lots of work - and lots of fun. If you are an SVBC member who would like to be involved in coordinating the biggest bicycle event of the year, you are invited to join a Bike to Work Day subcommittee in your county.
Our San Mateo County members have already gotten the ball rolling; their subcommittee meets the first Thursday of each month, from 6:00 to 7:00, before the Peninsula Committee meeting, in Redwood City.
