Redwood City seeks interchange feedback

The intersection of Highway 101 and Route 84 (Woodside Road) in Redwood City is in the queue to be redesigned and reconstructed. Redwood City staff would like input from pedestrians and cyclists after considering the proposed design alternatives.

Transportation Authority approves $80,000 matching funds for Redwood City bike share

On January 6, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority Board of Directors voted to approve allocation of $80,000 of Measure A funds to match $6.5 million in regional grant funds being applied to a bicycle share program. The regional grants were not eligible for infrastructure projects, making bicycle sharing an ideal application. The approval is a big win for cyclists for a number of reasons:

  • Providing convenient access to bicycles is a great way to foster new and beginning cyclists.

Riders route through Redwood City

On Saturday morning, 17 hearty riders met under the Redwood City sign to ride and collect notes on the good and the bad things about riding in this city of 80,000 in San Mateo County. This is one of a series of rides that San Mateo County cyclists have organized to highlight bicycle infrastructure, or the lack of it, in the county.
