The Safe Routes to Transit grant program is pleased to announce the call for projects for its fourth cycle. SVBC encourages everyone to make sure your city and/or transportation authority is aware of the opportunity and is applying to fund an active transportation project. If you know of a proposed project that deserves SVBC support, please email colin@bikesiliconvalley.org and tell us about it.
Caltrain is really reaching out to the bicycling and walking communities lately. You might recall that the agency recently solicited members for their new bicycle advisory committee. Now, Caltrain is soliciting input on a draft Caltrain Comprehensive Access Program Policy. The plan looks at ways to promote increased ridership through greater access to stations by walking, biking, and transit.
