City of San Carlos - Transportation and Circulation Commission meeting

December 4, 2009 - 5:46pm -- Carlos

Transportation and Circulation Commission site.

On Tuesday, December 15, the San Carlos Transportation and Circulation Commission will meet at 7pm. (San Carlos City Hall, 600 Elm Street, in City Council Chambers).

The detailed agenda will be posted to the City's web site on December 11th; however it is anticipated that the Commission will receive a report about proposed changes to the Highway 101/ Holly Street interchange area, as well as Holly Street west of the freeway, and other changes to local streets.

The Commission is anxious to consider bike and pedestrian safety and convenience, so one possible proposal is the creation of a short Bike Boulevard on East San Carlos Avenue, from Old County Road to Industrial. If the Commission accepts the report as presented, the proposed changes will be passed on to the City Council, to be considered at one of their January meetings.

The meeting is open to the public and the Commission will consider comments from members of the public.

Questions/comments can be sent to the City's Public Works Director, Robert Weil (rweil@cityofsancarlos.org) or to the Commission's Chairperson, Margaret Pye (pyem@sonic.net).
