We are ramping up the organized routes this year. Paul Freedman, from Rock the Bike will again coordinate elements for the Dolores Street meeting point and the SF bike down. Rides are coming up from the Palo Alto/Mountain View, Stanford, and San Jose areas. Our goal for riders this year is 2000 on Saturday. The Valet will run from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Look for rides on Facebook.
Choose from one of four shifts of two and a half hours each from 9:00 to 7:00 pm. Shift starts will be 9:00, 11:30, 2:00, and 4:30 pm. Volunteers get a free ticket to attend the Faire.
Riders to the corral will get a $5 discount this year. Tickets will be sold out of the corral again so that there is no waiting in line. Core area parking lot prices have been raised to $15 and $25 - so we expect more riders. The second and third shifts are the busiest. The last is hardest to staff.
If you would like to volunteer, please email makerfaire@bikesiliconvalley.org. Please indicate if you have previously volunteered for SVBC bicycle parking.
Event show times are: Saturday – May 22, 2010, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm; Sunday – May 23, 2010; 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
