Come out and show support for the funding of the Three Creeks Trail's western section. The Board of Supervisors will consider allocating $2 million from the County's Parks Charter Fund for the acquisition of land for the trail’s western alignment.
The funding from the County would be combined with money already allocated from the City of San Jose and the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority. The City will then be able to acquire Union Pacific Railroad’s unused Willow Glen Spur Line between Lonus Avenue and Minnesota Avenue (see map). It will also secure the land for recreational use before it is developed for additional residential projects.
