Gladys Ave issues

I've been riding Gladys Ave to work, a nice alternative to Middlefield or Central, despite the issue of SUV's entering and exiting the Slater School. However, there's two critical issues with this "bike boulevard":
1. the entrance from the road from the Steven's Creek Bike Trail is poorly controlled: http://g.co/maps/gmu3u
2. the traffic signal with Whisman is difficult to trigger with a bike (steel bike marginal, carbon bike no chance): http://g.co/maps/p88jf
