Pedestrian bridge over Hwy. 17 in Campbell?

Hi,
I'm trying to get from Union/Camden to the Pruneyard Shopping Center in Campbell. I know the most direct route is simply taking Union to Bascom, but I want to take the Los Gatos Trail which is much safer.
I know there is a bridge over Highway 17 that brings pedestrian traffic into from around Camden Ave into the Los Gatos Creek Trail. I've seen it, but can't find it using Google Maps or the Bikeways Map from VTA. Does anyone know where the entrance of this bridge is?
Thanks in advance,
Maryanne

Hi Maryanne,

You get to the east end of the ped-bike bridge via Mozart Avenue, just north of 85. (It actually is on the VTA map.)

You could take Woodard Rd. from Union over to Bascom, then take Bascom south to Mozart (last street before 85). Turn right, and that takes you right on to the overcrossing.

When you come down off the bridge, you'll need to make a very sharp U-turn to the left, followed by a right-turn maybe 100 ft later to get to the bridge across the Los Gatos Creek and the junction with the Trail. Turn right to go towards the Pruneyard.

You may follow what Martin stated above. We try to go through the pedestrian bridge and was stuck in the traffic for an hour I guess.
