$20 monthly commuter benefit

Does anyone know how companies are supposed to administer the recently passed bike commuter benefit? I refer to the one attached to the $800 billion financial bailout, Section 211.

Is it through WageWorks? That would be my guess.

Thanks,

I checked with WageWorks. They do not administer the program although they are looking into it. The bike commuter benefit would need to be done through the company you work for. - Ray

I do not know if WageWorks offers this. (although, as the Company's founder, I appreciate the plug).

But, after hearing a few HR folk tell me how it wasn't worth the trouble doing the bike benefit, my wife and I created a dead simple way to do it. Cards in $20, $60 and $240 denominations redeemable at bike shops. Just pick em' up and pass em' out.

Check it out at www.bikebux.com and provide any suggestions you might have.
