The Peninsula Committee of the SVBC has been conducting "City Rides" to explore San Mateo County city by city. The group rides aim to highlight the successes of each community in supporting cycling for everyday transportation and recreation, as well as to identify trouble spots in need of innovative solutions. Mark Eliot led San Mateo last August, Bob Cronin led Menlo Park in November and Didrik Hoag led San Carlos on Jan 24th.
The ride will be 12-15 miles at a moderate pace, and we'll stop for lunch afterward on El Camino. The Belmont ride will cover bicycling issues in Belmont. Be prepared for a few hills that are short but steep. Ride happens in all conditions.
