SVBC is moving our office! We are relocating from downtown San Jose to west Willow Glen, not far from the Diridon Station, and we need help with the move. We could use a few strong volunteers on Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 AM to help load and unload our truck. We should be finished in a couple of hours.
Come a little early for refreshments and stay for lunch after we finish. To sign up, email Anne at afisher@bikesiliconvalley.org.

Or you could get Margaret Pye to help with a bike move. She's got the experience! And she knows who has the requisite trailers, etc. Doesn't it seem appropriate to move the bike coalition office by bike? :-)

Pretty sure it's about a 2 mile move, all flat.
I'd help but I'll be hanging out at SJC waiting for a flight (heading to the National Bike Summit, of all things)

This breaks the promise the Executive Director made to the members of the PBPC to move the offices closer to San Mateo County when the SVBC merged with the PBPC.

Our office is moving to a private residence because SVBC needs to save money. The promise made to the Peninsula Committee members was that we would hold meetings and events up and down the peninsula. We mentioned that at that time we were investigating moving the office to Palo Alto, but there were no promises made on future office location. Because SVBC makes an effort to hold meetings throughout San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, decisions regarding office location become more about cost and convenience for staff members.
