Beat the Clock and Help Beat Cancer will be back at Hellyer Park Vellodrome on July 5th after last year's phenomenal success. This is one of the rare occasions where road bikes are allowed on the track. So if you don't have a track bike and don't want to rent one, try out the track with your own road bike. Real trackies are welcome too, of course. All events will be run separately. Test yourself, prepare for nationals, get a taste for the track. It's all about opportunity.
Schedule:
Gates Open: 12:30pm – 6:00pm
Warm-Up
Road bike warm-up: 1:00 – 1:30 (Road cyclists can also warm up on neighboring roads and trainer)
Track bike warm-up: 1:30 – 2:00 (Track cyclists can also warm up on trainers and/or rollers)
The fee is $25. $5 of each entry goes to the track to cover the track expenses and insurance. $2.80 of each entry goes to BikeReg.com. The rest goes to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. You can register for as many events as you want, however you can only do each event once. Please note that there is a Santa Clara County Parks parking fee of $6.00 so carpool if possible.
