DEIR on Santa Clara 49ers proposed stadium needs our attention

This Project, if it is carried out, can have a major effect on the entire South Bay. It deserves your attention now.

The City of Santa Clara's Bicycle Advisory Committee will be discussing this DEIR at their August 26th meeting at 4pm in the Inspection Division Conference Room at Santa Clara City Hall, 1500 Warburton Ave Santa Clara. To obtain the agenda packet for that BAC meeting check here: http://santaclaraca.gov/calendarcm_cur.html. Note that the discussion at this BAC meeting may be limited to the process and timing of providing feedback on the DEIR and not on the content of the DEIR itself so check the agenda for details.

The City of Santa Clara has made the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on the 49ers Proposed Stadium available on their website at http://santaclaraca.gov/city_gov/49er-Stadium-DEIR.html. Additional information on this topic can be found at http://santaclaraca.gov/city_gov/49er_stadium_proposal.html.

Official comments on the DEIR must be received by 5pm September 14, 2009 in writing. If you are concerned about the bikeability aspect and implications of this project, do not delay in providing your feedback.

Comments on the DEIR must be delivered in writing to be officially recorded. Address comments to Mr. J Schwilk in the City of Santa Clara Planning Office. Mr Schwilk has stated he will reply to emails so you receive confirmation of your comment's receipt. Send comments via email to jschwilk@santaclaraca.gov, or by USmail to the attention of Mr. Schwilk in the Planning Office at 1500 Warburton Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95050.
