This Thursday's County of San Mateo City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) Bicycle and Pedestrian (BPAC) meeting will host a public workshop for the One Bay Area Grant call for projects. It is important that the public is aware of this opportunity and we have a strong showing. We need commuters, recreational riders, and residents; students and professionals; kids, seniors, and those with disabilities to turn out and voice support for strong complete streets policies, transparent and participatory processes, and empowered BPACs!
Come to this meeting to learn more about the process that will ultimately rank and select the winning projects. You can share your thoughts or just come to learn. It's crucial that the public get involved in this call for projects from the very start to ensure a process that will result in fantastic projects that serve a broad group of stakeholders. $11 million are available for projects! Let's make sure that money gets spent on the kind of projects that make our communities cleaner, healthier, more fun, and safer for all.
