SVBC is working with the San Mateo County Health System to expand the role that bicycle and pedestrian advisory committees (B/PACs) and similar such organizations play in planning in the municipalities of San Mateo County.

C/CAG Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Call for Applicants
Sep 28, 2010The City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) of San Mateo County currently has four vacant seats for public members on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC). The BPAC provides advice and recommendations to the C/CAG Board of Directors on all matters relating to bicycle and pedestrian facilities planning and on the selection of projects for state and federal funding.

Newly formed Caltrain BAC on the fast track to success
Aug 27, 2010Caltrain has formed a new Bicycle Advisory Committee which held its first meeting this week. The first items on the agenda which were administrative in nature, included electing the chair and vice-chair, informing the committee and staff the new email address (bac at caltrain (dot) com), and randomly selecting the term of each member (either one or two year term).

C/CAG BPAC - San Mateo County Bike Plan closer to fruition
Aug 27, 2010Last night's C/CAG (City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo) BPAC meeting was mostly devoted to updating the members on the progress of the San Mateo County Bike Plan which will replace the current plan published in 2000.
